Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nurse Residency Site Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the transition-to-practice experience for newly licensed nurses. Working closely with nursing leadership, educators, and residency program partners, you'll help build confident, competent caregivers while fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth. Every day you will serve as the on-site leader for the Nurse Residency Program, coordinating educational experiences, supporting nurse residents and preceptors, and partnering with clinical leaders to ensure a consistent, high-quality program that prepares nurses for long-term success. To be successful in this role, you will bring strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills along with a passion for mentoring others. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where you can champion professional development, drive program excellence, and help create an engaging experience for every nurse resident.Partner with the Nurse Residency Supervisor to maintain and continuously improve program standards, curriculum, processes, and resident progression.Plan, implement, evaluate, and enhance the Nurse Residency Program to ensure a successful transition-to-practice experience.Facilitate nurse residency classes in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Educators and other interdisciplinary partners.Monitor program outcomes, timelines, and key performance metrics while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.Collaborate with nursing leadership, preceptors, educators, and faculty to support resident development, identify learning needs, and ensure a consistent, mission-driven program experience.Schedule: Monday–Friday with no weekends or holidays, providing a healthy work-life balance while supporting the success of our newest nurses.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in NursingMinimum of 2 years clinical experience in the acute care settingRequired Licensure and Certifications:Current license as RN in Nebraska, Iowa or multi-state compact licenseBasic Life Support (BLS or BLS instructor) is required upon hire through the American Heart Association
