Accountabilities:
- Support delivery teams in successfully executing client engagements while ensuring service commitments, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including software development contracts, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, staffing contracts, licensing agreements, intellectual property agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Manage complex negotiations independently while providing oversight, quality control, and guidance to more junior team members.
- Partner with delivery leads and client stakeholders to resolve contract issues and provide practical legal and commercial guidance.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for contract-related questions and support junior team members with negotiation strategies and best practices.
- Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior contract professionals to strengthen team capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve client contracting processes, procedures, templates, and operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate contract data and records within internal and client systems.
- Support the development and enhancement of contract templates, playbooks, negotiation tools, and knowledge resources.
- Stay current on relevant legal, regulatory, and commercial developments affecting contract management practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivering greater value and efficiency for clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Law degree and/or legal qualification required.
- Legally authorized to work in the country where the role is based.
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar contract management environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracting principles and experience handling complex negotiations.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand business objectives and provide practical contract solutions.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior team members.
- Experience managing client relationships and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with matter management systems and contract management tools.
