Job Description:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for an experienced and motivated Operations and Administrative Expert to support key administrative, operations, and strategic initiatives in the Corporate Affairs division of the Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs.
This Washington, DC-based role includes both hybrid administrative and operational responsibilities. On the administrative side, the candidate must manage all Washington DC office functions, including scheduling events and government meetings, and scheduling travel for Corporate Affairs executives. On the operations side, the candidate will be responsible for working with the Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs to manage quarterly budgets, track ongoing workstreams and deliverables, key metrics for internal and external reporting, and compliance filings with federal agencies.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid interpersonal skills, can exercise sound professional judgment, candor, critical thinking capabilities, and the discipline to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The position will include various administrative and clerical tasks, and communications. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Provide administrative support to multiple executives in Corporate Affairs, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expenses
- Working closely with Corporate Affairs executive leadership team members, develop strategies and deliverable timelines that execute key objectives
- Liaise with senior leaders and executive offices from other business units to advance Corporate Affairs’ initiatives
- Prepare documents, PowerPoints, workstream trackers, and assist with formatting and organization in alignment with HPE guidelines
- Assist with proofreading documents including strategic presentations for executives, monthly memoranda, and quarterly reporting, team communications, etc.
- Provide support for special projects from across the Corporate Affairs leadership team to execute against both long- and short-term strategic objectives as required
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, budgetary, and reporting requests
- Manage daily office operations in Washington, DC
- Maintain facility safety documentation and coordinate building maintenance with property management, vendors, and internal teams
- Partner with IT to resolve office and building infrastructure issues
- Support conference room needs, onsite hospitality, inventory management, and shipping
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years relevant experience in the corporate and/or legal sectors
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-assisted tools
- Skilled in technical troubleshooting, IT Infrastructure and performance
- Independent use of sound judgment and demonstration of drive to develop advance project timelines and promote organizational efficiency
- Proactively work with Corporate Affairs senior executives to ensure that internal deadlines are objectives are satisfied; plan ahead and meet deadlines
- Interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, receive direction and feedback, and adjust as needed
- Willingness to take responsibility for assigned work, seeing it through to completion
- Ability to manage time effectively, juggling multiple tasks, occasionally under time pressure
