Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage research, evaluation, and advisory projects from design through delivery, ensuring alignment with client goals, scope, budget, and timelines
- Act as a strategic advisor to utility clients, identifying needs, risks, and opportunities while shaping research and evaluation strategies
- Design and execute qualitative and mixed-method research (e.g., interviews, focus groups), translating findings into clear, actionable insights
- Guide market transformation and building electrification studies, including program design, adoption analysis, and impact evaluation
- Oversee project teams, ensuring quality assurance, strong methodologies, and consistent delivery standards
- Communicate complex technical and research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and memos
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to capability building, internal knowledge sharing, and team development
- Support process improvement, QA frameworks, and efficient project execution across engagements
- 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 5+ years in energy research, evaluation, consulting, or related fields
- Strong expertise in market transformation programs and building electrification initiatives (program design, adoption, or evaluation)
- Proven experience leading end-to-end research projects, including qualitative methodologies such as interviews, focus groups, and thematic analysis
- Strong project management skills, including scope, budget, timeline, and stakeholder coordination
- Ability to synthesize complex technical and qualitative data into clear, structured recommendations
- Experience working with utilities or within energy, consulting, research, or regulated industry environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Leadership experience mentoring teams and managing cross-functional project delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, engineering, public policy, or a related field
- Familiarity with energy policy, regulatory frameworks, or program evaluation is a strong plus
- $120,000–$150,000 USD base salary plus annual bonus opportunity
