The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System seeks an Chief of Hematology-Oncology who will provides strategic, clinical, administrative, and academic leadership for all Hematology and Oncology services within the medical center. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, Veteran-centered care while maintaining compliance.

Recruitment Incentive: Authorized Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): Directs daily operations, manages staffing and resources, develops policies Supports strategic planning and program growth. Leads quality assurance and patient safety initiatives, monitors outcomes Ensures compliance with accreditation and VA performance standards. Supports education and training programs. Promotes research and scholarly activity and ensures compliance with research policies. Supervises physicians and advanced practice providers Supports recruitment and performance management and fosters professional development. Represents the service on committees and collaborates with leadership and VISN partners. Expert clinical knowledge, leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and data-driven decision-making ability. Operate independently under the Chief of Medicine with supervisory authority over service staff. Clinical and administrative settings with possible extended hours and on-call duties. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
