Job Overview and Responsibilities


The Tech Ops Station Supervisor is responsible for oversight and ownership of a 24/7 operation encompassing operational, administrative, and technical areas. This role ensures the highest level of product delivery while maintaining compliance with FAA requirements and Company guidelines. The Tech Ops Station Manager supervises and coordinates all maintenance activities at their location, working directly with regulatory authorities, airport authorities, and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will be required to set a standard of excellence through their actions and decisions, fostering a culture of responsibility and high achievement.

 

  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance organization, (including MX, GSE, FX, JL where applicable) and labor workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements while ensuring necessary resources are available
  • Ensure safety and security of aircraft and operations
  • Execute station performance goals, environmental goals, and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of Technical Operations activities to achieve maximum productivity  and cost control
  • Track and analyze station performance
  • Order and secure required station supplies, process monthly invoices and manage local budget
  • Support investigations (as appropriate) into performance, safety, complaints, and other work-related issues
  • Interface with regulatory authorities, airport authorities, vendors, and local government to ensure regulatory compliance of Technical Operations activities
  • Maintain regular and prompt communication, including attending local meetings, town halls, RAP sessions, e-mail/voicemail follow-up, and incident reports
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety, and employee relations
  • Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to Senior leadership while providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
     

     

 

 

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

 

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Electronic, mechanical, or related field
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant lLicense3 required
  • Minimum one year experience in a Supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of technical operations policies and procedures
  • Written and oral communication
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Master's degree or related experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Certified Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Experience supervising a unionized workforce in Technical Operations division. Proficient in scheduling, eTA and performance management system to support front line employees, and colleagues
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution and decision-making
  • Proficient in appropriate work group and office productivity software
  • Principles of project management
     

 


The base pay range for this role is $134,663.40 to $164,588.60.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
