Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years. Our Deployables Operating unit is seeking a Senior Staff Internal Technical Trainer to support technical training efforts for the Deployable Structures & Mechanisms portfolio of programs. This portfolio includes production programs of complex motorized composite structural elements that enable remote sensing and communication programs. This position is 100% on-site and may be located at either our Goleta or Oxnard, CA sites.Role and Responsibilities: Designs, schedules, delivers and tracks technical training Establishes training and education modules and ensure consistency in the delivery of technical training and on-boardingProvides train-the-trainer program and qualifies all area trainers for content deliveryPartners with functional managers to develop training materials, and knowledge assessments, for area standard operation procedures (SOP's) and coordinates knowledge assessmentUtilizes training authoring and multimedia tools and software for assigned development projectsRemain current in training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniquesProvides technical leadership, direction and mentoring to other technical employeesActs as advisor to management, co-workers and customers on advanced technical research studiesWorks on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingeniousBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years relevant experience; OR 12 years relevant experience with a master’s degree; OR 10 years with a PhDEstablished experience in the development and delivery of training programs or coursesDemonstrated ability to formally present technical solutions to senior leadershipTechnical expertise in design, test, or manufacture of space craft componentsExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsStrong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issuesStrong MS Office knowledge, specifically with PowerPointAbility to travel between the Goleta and Oxnard, CA facilitiesUS Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineeringExperience in the design, test, or manufacturing of deployable hardwarePrimary Level Salary Range: $159,400.00 - $239,000.00The above salary range...
