Position Overview
We’re searching for a Principal Technical Consultant to join our Solution Services team in a remote or hybrid location from an Applied Systems office. This role is focused on driving next-generation innovation through AI-enabled architectures, advanced integrations, and scalable cloud platforms. This role expands upon traditional solution consulting by leading the design and delivery of intelligent systems leveraging AI, agent-based architectures, and orchestration frameworks.

What You’ll Do
- Act as a senior trusted advisor to customers on AI-enabled solution design, architecture, and implementation.
- Lead the design and development of AI-driven systems including agent-based workflows, orchestration pipelines, and MCP server integrations.
- Define architecture for multi-agent systems including tool usage, memory management, and agent coordination strategies.
- Drive adoption of orchestration technologies to manage workflows, services, and AI interactions across distributed systems.
- Design and implement scalable cloud architectures (primarily GCP) integrating AI services, APIs, and data platforms.
- Lead technical discovery workshops with clients to identifyAI use cases, automation opportunities, and transformation strategies.
- Translate business problems into AI-driven solution architectures and proof-of-concepts.
- Guidedevelopment teams in building, testing, and deploying AI and integration solutions.
- Serveas technical lead for complex pre-sales engagements, including scoping, architecture definition, and SOW development.
- Mentor and coach Technical Architects, Developers, and Consultants on AI and modern architecture best practices.
We’re Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, solution design, and enterprise systems.
- 5+ years designing cloud-native architectures (GCP preferred).
- 3+ years working with AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications and agent frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing MCP servers or similar AI interface protocols.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks (e.g., workflow engines, event-driven architectures, or AI orchestration tools).
- Experience designing multi-agent or agent-based systems, including prompt design, tool integration, and execution flows.
- Strong experience with APIs (REST/GraphQL), microservices, and integration patterns.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from $150,000 - $200,000 USD. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
