**Minimum qualifications:**
+ JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
+ Experience with M&A or investments transactions.
+ Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Experience advising clients on project finance transactions, complex JVs, or renewable energy/data center financings.
+ Experience performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating cross-functional deal teams, and advising business stakeholders and senior management.
+ Ability to conversant in a broad range of legal topics impacting corporate transactions, including tax, intellectual property and employment.
+ Strong communication and project management skills and ability to navigate fast-paced and fluid environments.
+ Outstanding judgment and ability to identify, distill and manage complex issues quickly and effectively.

You're a talented corporate attorney who can work independently but collaboratively on a collegial team within a fast-paced legal department. You will be expected to support a variety of M&A, investment and other strategic corporate transactions, advising clients and stakeholders and managing key aspects of due diligence, drafting and execution.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $252000 - $352000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

**Responsibilities**
+ Support a variety of M&A, investment and other strategic corporate transactions in a substantive fashion with a significant degree of independence.
+ Work closely with Google’s corporate development team and cross-functional partners throughout the life cycle of each deal.
+ Provide education and advice on corporate matters both within the legal department and across Google.
+ Assist in developing legal strategy both on specific and across multiple transactions.
