Accountabilities:

    The Director of Business Systems Procurement is responsible for driving continuous improvement, operational transformation, and process excellence across procurement functions. This role develops procurement strategies, improves workflows, strengthens supplier performance, and partners with cross-functional leaders to achieve measurable business outcomes.

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations using Lean, Six Sigma, and business system methodologies.
    • Assess current procurement processes, identify performance gaps, and develop future-state solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
    • Design and implement standardized procurement processes across sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and related workflows.
    • Develop and execute procurement transformation roadmaps aligned with business priorities and operational goals.
    • Improve supplier performance by optimizing lead times, minimum order quantities, sourcing practices, and supply chain velocity.
    • Support early procurement engagement in new product introduction processes to enable business growth.
    • Partner with materials management, operations, legal, and other stakeholders to improve accountability, simplify workflows, and eliminate process barriers.
    • Conduct end-to-end value stream mapping across source-to-pay processes and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times.
    • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier partnerships focused on total cost optimization.
    • Embed compliance, governance, and trade requirements into procurement systems and operating processes.
    • Facilitate supplier improvement workshops and Kaizen events to improve quality, delivery, communication, and performance.
    • Establish metrics, reporting routines, and improvement tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and business impact.
    • Coach process owners, identify transformation opportunities, and support successful project execution.
    • Define and document standard work for core procurement processes globally.
    • Deliver annual operational goals while promoting accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement and transformation leader with a strong background in strategic sourcing, Lean methodologies, and supply chain optimization. They should have demonstrated success leading large-scale improvements, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable operational results.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
      • 10+ years of experience in continuous improvement, strategic sourcing, Lean manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain management.
      • Proven experience leading business transformation initiatives with measurable operational and financial outcomes.
      • Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System (TPS), or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
      • Experience managing complex, multi-site transformation programs.
      • Strong understanding of supplier development, vendor negotiations, and procurement operations.
      • Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management and capital projects.
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
      • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build alignment across global teams.
      • Strategic and visionary mindset with a strong focus on operational excellence.
      • Resilient, adaptable, and action-oriented approach to solving complex business challenges.
      • Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more as required.
