The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday - Friday. Overtime may extend these hours. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and ongoing maintenance of industrial production equipment, facilities systems, and pipeline distribution systems. You’ll work independently, applying sound mechanical judgment to keep operations moving and downtime to a minimum.Support and comply with Eaton Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with little to no supervisionConduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and planned shutdown work to improve equipment reliabilityPerform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities but not limited to painting, drywall, parking lots, plumbing repairs, lighting, flooring, and roof.Perform basic electrical work (120V) and support higher‑voltage systems as qualifiedOperates maintenance work order system to complete assignments and provide feedback Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.Assist with motor control, starters, and basic troubleshooting of electrical componentsPerform welding and metal repair to restore or improve equipment Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical)No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Camarillo, CA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with 480V 3‑phase systems, motor controls, and VFDsFamiliarity with power distribution systems up to 600VExperience with emergency power or process control systemsExperience in performing power system analysis, short circuit and load flow studies. Familiarity with process control systems and emergency power systems is a plusKnowledge of municipal electrical code applicable to installation, maintenance, and repair work Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including parameter setup, fault diagnostics, and motor performance issuesWorking knowledge of PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), including Basic ladder logic interpretation, I/O troubleshooting, Sensor, switch, and interlock diagnosticsTrade or technical school certificate or equivalent preferredPosition Criteria:
