In your daily job you will:
- Support product launches from development validation (DV) through MP (mass production).
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure efficient, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Provide engineering support for prototype and engineering builds; identify and escalate design, test, and supplier-related issues.
- Participate in MQ1 and MQ2 phases, ensuring readiness of equipment, processes, and documentation.
- Conduct manufacturability reviews to identify process risks, yield impacts, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Collaborate with product design teams to optimize product architecture for ease of assembly and process capability.
- Drive design improvements to reduce cycle time, part complexity, and assembly errors, enabling higher automation and throughput
- Ensure alignment between product design, process capability, and production constraints during NPI phases.
- Conduct PFMEA and Reverse PFMEA before mass production.
- Participate in PDT meetings and lead escalation processes when required.
- Drive improvements to production KPIs (OEE, FTQ, yield, downtime).
- Actively participate in operational and quality meetings (KPI meetings, MRVA, operations reviews, escalations).
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering on capacity planning and equipment sourcing/installation.
- Support equipment supplier release (MQ1/MQ2) and acceptance activities.
- Execute capability plans including MSA and GR&R studies.
- Develop and validate process parameters and process specifications.
- Define equipment setup, spare parts lists, and maintenance strategies.
- Perform strain measurements and process validation activities.
- Define and implement product-specific traceability.
- Manage equipment transfer and setup (import/export).
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- +5 years of experience in electronics
- Experience in New Product Introduction is a must
- Experience in automotive industry
- Advanced English
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
- Experience with APQP methodologies and product launch processes.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 for PCB assembly quality.
- Concept design and validation of assembly and test fixtures for electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with automated and semi-automated assembly systems.
- Hands-on support for equipment acceptance and process validation:
- GR&R, MSA, DoE, capability studies (Cp/Cpk)
- Development of key manufacturing deliverables:
- PFMEA (including reverse PFMEA)
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Control Plans
- Work Instructions and PM plans
- Strong knowledge of:
- Assembly automation
- Smart fastening systems
- Adhesive dispensing processes
- PCB fabrication and assembly
- MES and traceability systems
- Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto)
