Executive Director - Asset Management Site Lead

Job summary:
As an Asset Management Site Lead – Philippines, Executive Director in Asset Management Client Service and Operations, you will establish and lead the Asset Management presence within JPMorganChase’s Philippine corporate center. You will set the site strategy and deliver a scalable operating model aligned to global Asset Management priorities and location diversification objectives. You will build leadership capacity and management routines that drive consistent day-to-day delivery, clear decision rights, and effective escalation. You will own performance outcomes across quality, timeliness, capacity, productivity, and client impact, taking corrective action when results deviate from expectations. You will embed a strong risk and controls culture, ensure audit readiness, and partner closely with Asset and Wealth Management leadership, Philippine corporate center leads, and functional leads in India to ensure seamless integration and execution.
Job responsibilities:
- Define the Manila (Taguig) site strategy and multi-year roadmap, including capability build, governance, and maturity progression.
- Implement a scalable operating model with clear decision rights, escalation paths, and strong delivery oversight in partnership with global teams.
- Build an inclusive, high-performing leadership team and lead organization design, hiring, onboarding, development, engagement, and succession planning.
- Establish outcome-based management routines and lead transformation initiatives to optimize workflows, systems, and procedures through standardization, re-engineering, and automation.
- Own key performance indicators and service level agreements and manage operational health metrics across quality, timeliness, capacity, productivity, and client impact.
- Embed a strong risk and controls mindset, maintain audit readiness, identify issues, escalate appropriately, and drive timely remediation.
- Drive high standards of responsiveness and first-time-right issue resolution, linking site performance to end-client experience and business value.
- Chair governance forums across delivery, controls, and change, and partner with Risk, Controls, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Technology, and Real Estate.
- Develop and manage the location budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effective resource deployment aligned to business priorities.
- Champion operational resiliency through business continuity readiness, contingency planning, and recovery practices aligned to local and global requirements.
- Identify cross-line-of-business synergies and reuse opportunities across processes, technology, and capabilities, including shaping an artificial intelligence strategy to support re-engineering and efficiency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 15 years of experience in financial services, asset management, or banking operations (or similarly regulated, complex operating models).
- 8 years of significant people leadership experience.
- Proven success building and scaling teams and leaders, including establishing culture, standards, and governance routines.
- Demonstrated operational excellence with measurable improvements in quality, timeliness, productivity, and control outcomes.
- Strong risk and controls mindset across governance design, issue management, audit readiness, and sustained remediation discipline.
- Proven track record leading transformation across process, technology, and ways of working (standardization, re-engineering, automation, continuous improvement).
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills and the ability to align priorities and drive decisions in a global matrix without direct authority.
- Experience working across multiple geographies, with demonstrated ability to navigate cultural nuances and build trust across distributed teams.
- Strong analytics and communication skills (written and verbal), including senior-level presentations and tailored messaging.
- Ability to map solutions to complex technology and operations platforms, including comfort leading extended-hours operations and teams across multiple shift patterns.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree.
- Experience in the asset management industry.
- Prior experience establishing or scaling a greenfield or early-stage site within an existing firm footprint.
Knowledge of the Philippines labor market, regulatory environment, and talent dynamics (or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire local market expertise).
- Track record managing sensitive multi-location dynamics, including impacts to existing teams in other geographies.
- Experience shaping automation and artificial intelligence approaches to support business process improvement and scaling operations.
