Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Restricted Emerging Operating Unit within the Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit as a Production Operations Manager 2 based out of Baltimore, MD.What You’ll Get to Do:Manage the production execution for Operating Unit programsManage Manufacturing cost and schedule performanceServe as Manufacturing lead for all proposals in the Operating UnitCreate and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the Manufacturing execution of the programsComprehend and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management and customersEnsure Manufacturing has the resources needed (resources Manufacturing needs as well as allocation of resources from Manufacturing) to execute the programsServe as Functional Manager and direct the work of the reporting Operations Project ManagersPerform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business DivisionMentor, develop, and assess direct reportsProvide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Manufacturing objectives are achievedProvide Manufacturing expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business DivisionWork with cross organizational teams and customers to set and clearly articulate goals/priorities as well as communicate them to key stakeholdersBasic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master’s degree with 6 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related disciplineExperience leading people across large organizations Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities Experience with SAP/ERP systemsCurrent/Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required U.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExpertise in earned value management, proposal preparation, and/or integrated master schedule (IMS) developmentExperience as a Cost...
