This individual will be a hands-on technical leader who combines deep full-stack expertise, strong architectural judgment, AI fluency, and a passion for building scalable, customer-facing products.The ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing complex distributed systems, crafting modern UI experiences, mentoring senior engineers, and leveraging AI technologies to deliver differentiated product capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of large-scale product initiatives across the full stack.Define technical architecture and engineering standards that improve scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.Drive adoption of AI-powered capabilities, including LLM-based experiences, intelligent workflows, copilots, and automation features.Partner closely with Product Management, UX, Data Science, and Platform teams to translate business goals into technical solutions.Make high-impact technical decisions and influence engineering strategy across multiple teams.Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives.Mentor senior engineers and raise the overall engineering bar through coaching and technical leadership.Own critical production systems and drive operational excellence, observability, security, and reliability.Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve developer productivity and product quality.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex enterprise products.Strong expertise in modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Web Components, modern UI architecture).Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.Demonstrated ability to design systems that scale to enterprise workloads.Experience leading technical initiatives spanning multiple teams without direct authority.Deep understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, performance optimization, and system reliability.Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience building products on the ServiceNow platform.Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, vector databases, and prompt engineering.Experience integrating AI capabilities into customer-facing enterprise products.Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.Experience with analytics, experimentation, telemetry, and data-driven product development.What Success Looks LikeShapes the technical vision for major product areas.Delivers architectures that enable rapid innovation while maintaining quality and scale.Drives adoption of AI capabilities that create measurable customer value.Raises engineering standards across the...
