Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a data engineering team, providing technical guidance, prioritization, and support to deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Partner closely with marketing and business teams to translate complex data requirements into scalable engineering strategies and actionable insights.
- Promote data literacy by helping cross-functional teams understand data concepts, metrics, and analytics capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines supporting centralized data platforms.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and availability of data through strong validation processes, monitoring frameworks, testing, and proactive issue resolution.
- Integrate trusted and enriched datasets with key marketing and business platforms to improve campaign performance and decision-making.
- Define and standardize success metrics by collaborating with stakeholders to establish accurate measurement frameworks.
- Own the data engineering roadmap, ensuring technical initiatives align with broader business objectives and growth priorities.
- Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical capabilities.
- Lead projects from discovery through implementation, including requirements gathering, architecture design, execution, and quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related data-focused roles, including experience in fast-paced e-commerce or digital environments.
- At least 3 years of experience working with business domains such as performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, or brand marketing.
- Strong experience designing data architectures, developing complex data models, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data warehouses.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to contribute hands-on within modern data technology environments.
- Experience implementing marketing measurement methodologies, including attribution models, incrementality testing, marketing mix modeling, and conversion measurement frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end, from stakeholder alignment and technical design through implementation and validation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with Databricks or similar data platforms is preferred.
- Previous experience managing and mentoring high-performing data teams in a rapidly changing environment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Competitive salary range of $155,000 - $183,000 USD.
