Tax Analyst – Corporate Income Tax is responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance & audit support for US entities and its foreign affiliates. The role focuses on Tax Compliance – Book to Tax analysis, return preparation, FBAR filings, data analytics, and tax automation support. The position requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work with Chennai & Dearborn management while ensuring compliance with federal and U.S. international tax regulations.
Federal Tax:
- Preparation of complex Tax adjustments workpapers and Ford’s subsidiaries 1120 forms.
- Support in calculation of FDII deduction, BEAT applicability & R&D apportion against US & Foreign source Income.
- Preparation of walk - Foreign Source Income analysis for Management review
- Support with Sec 862 analysis.
- Support with CAMT & 1042 reporting for US entity.
International Tax:
- Preparation of complex Tax adjustments workpapers and Ford’s Foreign Affiliates forms (5471/8858/8865).
- Analysis of Sec 901 & 902/960 credits.
- Support with GILTI, Sec 163J, Sec 987 & FPHCI calculations
- Stay current with changes in tax regulations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform Tax Account analysis for various Income Tax accounts.
Support Dearborn on any IDR request as applicable.
- Handle MCRP testing related to US Income Tax Module
- Support with Pillar II compliance
Complete FBAR forms annually.
Technology & Data Management
- Utilize tax automation platforms such as Power query and Power BI to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Focus on opportunities to Automate using AI tools.
- Leverage MS Excel and MS Access for data analysis, compliance preparation, and reporting.
Support data extraction and transformation initiatives for tax projects.
Project & Relationship Management
- Manage assigned projects efficiently, meeting timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain proactive status communication with U.S./India stakeholders.
- Assist team members with technical analysis, data preparation, and client deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in US Federal & International tax.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws.
- Experience with Corptax is added advantage
