Accountabilities:

    The Senior Manager, Accounting is responsible for leading global accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial close processes, maintaining strong internal controls, and improving scalability across accounting functions.

    • Own monthly and quarterly close activities across multiple entities, ensuring timely completion, accurate reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
    • Lead end-to-end general ledger operations, including review of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting documentation.
    • Manage close processes using close management tools, ensuring task ownership, progress tracking, issue resolution, and final approvals.
    • Oversee key accounting areas including cash and treasury, intercompany transactions, software capitalization, leases, and balance sheet activities.
    • Review and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and drive timely resolution of outstanding items.
    • Partner with finance teams on cash management, international entity funding, and treasury-related activities.
    • Lead accounting treatment and processes related to capitalized software costs and lease accounting under ASC 842.
    • Maintain and strengthen SOX controls by ensuring proper documentation, evidence collection, testing support, and audit readiness.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors on walkthroughs, testing activities, remediation efforts, and process improvements.
    • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting workflows, systems, and reporting processes.
    • Partner with teams including FP&A, Tax, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Accounting, Engineering, and Legal to support business initiatives.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members through coaching, feedback, goal setting, and professional growth opportunities.
    • Support the continued evolution of accounting processes to prepare the organization for future growth and increased operational complexity.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting leader with strong technical knowledge, operational expertise, and a proven ability to scale accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

      • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manager or senior manager leadership role.
      • Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
      • Strong experience owning month-end and quarter-end close processes across multiple entities.
      • CPA certification preferred.
      • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
      • Demonstrated experience operating within a SOX-controlled environment and supporting internal and external audits.
      • Experience managing accounting operations across cash and treasury, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, software capitalization, leases, and balance sheet reconciliations.
      • Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems, ideally NetSuite, and close management platforms such as FloQast.
      • Proven ability to improve accounting processes through automation, workflow optimization, and operational enhancements.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and provide clear recommendations.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and non-finance teams.
      • Experience working in SaaS, technology, hardware, or high-growth organizations preferred.
      • Experience supporting public company readiness or IPO preparation is a plus.
      • Familiarity with tools such as Coupa, Navan, AuditBoard, and Jira is beneficial.
      • Ability to manage priorities effectively and work flexible hours when collaborating across time zones.
