Job Description
As a Security Officer Logistics Building Access Control Badge Verification in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access procedures, badge and credential checks, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries at a busy logistics and distribution location, helping to deter unauthorized access and documenting security-related concerns.
- Verify identification, visitor information, shipping paperwork, and/or delivery appointments in accordance with site policies, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding access questions or issues.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters to site leadership and/or first responders when needed.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and/or records related to access activity, contractor and visitor movement, and other security-related observations throughout the shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
