Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning architectures that support business objectives and long-term technology strategy.
- Build, train, optimize, and maintain AI models, data pipelines, and integrations with APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms.
- Develop LLM-powered applications, intelligent agents, and AI-driven automation workflows using modern orchestration frameworks.
- Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies, including large language models, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Define AI architecture standards, model governance practices, and scalable deployment strategies in collaboration with technical leadership.
- Design highly available, secure, and scalable AI solutions across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into practical AI engineering initiatives.
- Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational playbooks.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices and innovation across the team.
- Stay current with advancements in AI frameworks, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve products and development processes.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing or building AI and machine learning solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or comparable modern programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI and ML ecosystems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing AI-powered applications, APIs, data pipelines, and inference services.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural design and strategic technical planning.
- Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning.
- Must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Competitive annual salary of CAD $180,000–$200,000.
