The IT Business Enablement Director – Finance is responsible for bridging business objectives with IT capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes for the Finance Enabling Function. This role will drive strategic alignment, operational excellence, and innovation across enterprise IT initiatives, ensuring technology investments maximize value and accelerate business transformation.
As a member of the IT Business Enablement – Functions team, this role will partner with the Finance organization through technology, fostering strong partnerships, and embedding agile, product-centric delivery models. The Business Enablement Lead will also serve as a virtual team lead and delegate for the Sr Director ITBE Functions leader.
This position reports to the Sr Director ITBE Functions leader and is part of the Information Technology team, and will be an on-site role in Kraków.
What you will do
Partner with Cytiva Finance leaders, Finance teams, Finance Systems, and IT delivery teams to provide a single, effective interface between business functions and IT, ensuring technology priorities are aligned with Cytiva business objectives.
Define, execute, and maintain the Finance OpCo, functional, and regional IT strategy, including Finance application roadmaps, in line with Cytiva priorities and evolving business needs.
Support the implementation of the Discovery model by partnering with Finance leaders, Finance Systems, Business Enablement IT Business Analysts, and the BE Pillar Head to identify business outcomes, assign them to the appropriate value streams, and prioritize them within the value stream backlog.
Partner with IT Delivery & Governance to determine the right delivery approach for prioritized outcomes and leverage the relevant value stream execution teams to deliver business value effectively.
Drive proof of concepts, author user requirement specifications, track ROI and say/do performance after delivery, and ensure IT initiatives deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and decision-making.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation across Finance by leveraging advanced analytics, automation, digital technologies, and external market trends to optimize end-to-end Finance processes and translate emerging best practices into actionable strategies for Cytiva.
Maintain and improve the Finance technology landscape, including multiple ERPs, Finance ecosystems, and Data & Analytics platforms, while ensuring robust integration, compliance with GxP and regulatory standards, proactive risk mitigation, operational excellence, and acting as virtual pillar team lead, delegate to the Pillar Head, and primary escalation point for prioritization conflicts and stakeholder escalations.
Who you are
12+ years of experience partnering with Finance teams, supporting finance business processes, or finance technology transformation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM equivalent certification or equivalent
Strong understanding of Finance capabilities and ability to translate business priorities and data requirements into scalable technology solutions.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through credibility, business acumen, structured communication, and clear decision support.
Proven experience operating in a global, matrixed organisation with competing priorities, evolving requirements, and cross-functional delivery teams.
Outcome-oriented mindset, with resilience, accountability, and the ability to drive progress through ambiguity, complexity, and setbacks.
Ability to build broad knowledge across enterprise functions and identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and business value through technology.

Experience with M&A and Due Diligence focused projects at global and x-functional scale.
