JOB SUMMARY:

As the Field Service Team Leader for NZ, you will be responsible for the management of the Field Service operations, ensuring all operational, sales and financial targets are achieved.

In addition, be responsible for the growth of the Companies Aftermarket business through increased parts sales, Machine Inspections and 10 year rebuilds using aftermarket programs and focused marketing approach to existing and new business customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned:

  • Daily management of the field service technicians within the NZ operation
  • Ensure all operational and financial targets are achieved inline with set KPI’S
  • Facilitate Vehicle stocktakes as required on team
  • Visit each field Tech QTRLY and carry out safety Audits and site/vehicle inspections
  • Carry out performance reviews on Field Service Technicians
  • First point of contact for technician assistance
  • Resolve customer disputes in the Field
  • Build and maintain relationships with JLG customers, including schedule customer service visits
  • Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when requested
  • Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, Australian Standards and customer and/or site requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role – experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, decision-making and leadership skills
  • Ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers
  • The ability to develop new business and sales opportunities is a must along with strong communication and organisational skills
  • Being able to work towards and meet deadlines and targets.

  • Highly organised and structured individuals with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Results focused
  • Ability to travel 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical or related field
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications that allow for transferable skills to adequately use our Baseplan system and email
  • Working at heights license

  • Standing and sitting for extended periods of time
