What you’ll do:
Position Overview:This position will be responsible for testing and/or modifying electrical equipment post-production, prior to shipment to customers. It will also be responsible for inspecting product functions and monitoring test procedures. In this function you will:• Support organizing priorities for daily shipment goals in the test area• Support training less experienced technicians• Support organizing the test bays for maximum safety and efficient operation• Support daily work load/ schedule support• Manage transactions of failed and replacement components with stock room• Set up test report requirements based on sales order and customer spec• Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records• Perform electrical test troubleshooting • Support special/type tests for prototype qualification • Prior training with electrical equipment and testing procedures Read and understand one-line drawings, wire lists, and schematics• Working knowledge of waveform analyzers, Oscilloscopes, communication protocols SNMP, WEB, MODBUS• Understanding of delta-wye 3 phase transformer and reactor technology• Use of wavebook (digital oscilloscope) and MPLAB IDE program• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level• Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards• Organize work by receiving work requests, studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications• Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and codes• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution • 1-3 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications:• Associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology• Previous lead or supervisory experience • IR certification• Use of wavebook (digital oscilloscope) and MPLAB IDE programmer• Prior training with electrical equipment and testing procedures• Read and understand one-line drawings, wire lists, and schematics• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)• Understanding...
