VetLogix is a cloud-based practice management platform purpose-built for large animal veterinarians.We are currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to advance our quality practices. This high-impact role focuses on shifting from manual-heavy testing to scalable automation, partnering with Engineering and Product to drive test strategy and quality across the development lifecycle.A day in the life as a Senior QA Automation Engineer:Execute manualtesting (exploratory, functional, regression) and manage defects through resolutionDesign, build, and maintain automated test suites (Playwright), progressively replacing manual regressionDefine and evolve test strategy, quality gates, and CI/CD integrationCollaborate closely with engineering and product teams on requirements, acceptance criteria, and test planningIdentify risks early and ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycleMentor team members on automation and QA best practices, helping uplift overall capabilityPartner with QA Lead to drive transition toward automation-first testing practices If the below describes your knowledge, experience, and character, this role could be for you:Must-have:Strong QA fundamentals across manual and automation testingHands-on experience with Playwright (or Cypress/Selenium with ability to ramp)Experience with AI-assisted testing/development toolsExperience building automation in low-maturity/greenfield environmentsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testsSolid understanding of web applications and API testingExperience working in Agile/Scrum teamsNice to have:Familiarity with TDD and feature-flag-driven developmentExposure to audit/compliance domainsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Experience required:Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams5+ years in QA / Software Quality Engineering3+ years in test automation development2+ years with modern E2E frameworks (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium)Experience building or scaling automation in low-coverage environmentsExperience testing full-stack applications (UI, API, integration) Character traits we value:Self-driven and proactiveCollaborative with strong cross-functional partnershipPassionate about quality and continuous improvementStrong communicator with mentoring mindsetPragmatic and adaptable in fast-moving environments We know imposter syndrome can be REAL when applying for a new role, but please don't let the confidence gap prevent you from taking a leap and applying for your dream job.
