Role Description:

As a Sr. Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our Oak Street Health patients, providers and business by enabling the national nursing strategy to drive nursing excellence, with a portfolio including chronic condition management, nursing documentation standards, nurse role clarity and nursing innovation. This leader partners cross-functionally with population health, care delivery excellence, clinical and informatics, and talent acquisition to support strong nurse pipelines, foster the growth and development of nurses, and maximize nurse impact on care model outcomes. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the cross-functional implementation and operational success of nurse-tailored chronic condition management protocols.

  • Supports execution of strategy to ensure the expansion of Oaky nurse capabilities and skills, in alignment with business priorities, and operationalizing for just-in-time training or annual competency. 

  • Supports the deployment and adoption of nurse documentation standards; partners with EMR and product leaders to train staff and optimize efficiency.

  • In partnership with the Lead Director of Nursing Operations,supports development of multi-prong nurse sourcing strategy, in partnership with Talent Acquisition. 

  • Creates executive-level progress reports on nurse strategy progress for the Nurse Steering Committee and other key stakeholders. 

  • Creates opportunities for nurse and clinical support development, including in partnership with the learning team. 

  • Supports Center Nurse cohort engagement through leadership of the Oaky Nurse Huddle, leads MA communication pathways. 

  • Develop scalable national training initiatives that align clinical workflows with Epic-native systems to support standardized nursing practice and successful program expansion.Supports the strategic and operational plan for national execution of annual clinical competencies for MA, RN, Phlebs, in partnership with the learning team.

  • Other duties as assigned

 

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in driving clinical compliance in regulated or accredited environments, including The Joint Commission or other accrediting bodies. 

  • Bachelor degree in nursing required; advanced degree preferred. 

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse. 

  • US Work Authorization.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years nursing experience.

  • At least 5 years management experience is required. 

  • Somebody who embodies being “Oaky” (see below).

  • Ability to independently manage and lead projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and ability to prioritize and effectively navigate multiple competing priorities. 

  • Skilled in content development / collateral including deck creation, training materials, job aids, and SOPs

  • Able to develop and drive execution on multiple projects / project plans simultaneously 

  • Demonstrated skill in problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and exceptional communication skills.  

  • A flexible and positive attitude, and a strong desire to change the traditional primary care paradigm.

  • High emotional intelligence as evidenced by ability to evaluate/perceive a situation from multiple lenses and understand various perspectives in coming to problem resolution. 

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to Oak Street Health markets

  • US work authorization

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$121,514.00 - $261,723.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
