Head of GD AI Prompting, Managing Director
The Managing Director –Head of GD AI Prompting, will lead strategy, governance, adoption, and scaling of internally developed AI capabilities, including prompting frameworks, digital assistants, and productivity platforms. Selected candidate will operate at the intersection of business transformation, operating model redesign, innovation, risk management, and change leadership. The role is responsible for ensuring AI solutions move beyond pilots into measurable business outcomes at scale, driving productivity, operational excellence, employee experience, and competitive advantage. The ideal candidate is a strategic business leader rather than a deep technical specialist, with demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders, and embedding new capabilities across global organizations.
This role will define what “good” looks like for prompting across the GD Simplification Agentic AI program. Establish the prompting framework, standards, and best practices that scale across use cases, and lead the operational readiness plan so Global Delivery, training, and procedures are ready when solutions move into production.
Key Responsibilities
Prompting Excellence & Governance
- Establish enterprise prompting standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Create scalable methodologies for prompt engineering and AI interaction design.
- Develop quality assurance frameworks for AI-generated outputs.
- Drive consistency, reuse, and standardization across AI use cases.
Set the Standard – Define What Good Looks Like
- Define quality standards, evaluation criteria, and success measures for prompts across GDS Agentic AI use cases
- Establish prompt design principles aligned to accuracy, safety, controls, and business outcomes
- Own the “gold standard” library of reference prompts and patterns
Build the Prompting Framework & Best Practice
- Design and maintain a scalable prompting framework covering structure, tone, guardrails, and reusable components
- Publish best-practice playbooks, templates, and prompt patterns for Agentic AI teams
- Govern versioning, review, and continuous improvement of prompts across the portfolio
Partner with Testing Teams
- Work closely with testing teams to define prompt testing methodology, edge cases, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure prompts are validated for accuracy, robustness, hallucination risk, and regulatory considerations
- Feed test insights back into the framework to raise quality across the portfolio
Prepare the Scale-Up Plan for Ops
- Lead the operational scale-up plan covering Ops readiness, procedures, and change adoption
- Partner with BAU teams to embed prompt-driven Agentic AI into day-to-day workflows
- Define SOPs, run-books, and control checkpoints required for production use
- Design the training curriculum for Ops users, prompt reviewers, and BAU leads
Governance & Executive Reporting
- Provide executive updates on prompting maturity, quality metrics, and scale-up readiness
- Represent Prompting within GDS Agentic AI governance forums
- Escalate risks and dependencies impacting adoption
Required Experience
- 15+ years across transformation, AI/ML, operations, or process design roles
- Proven experience defining frameworks, standards, and best practices at scale
- Strong understanding of Agentic AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering concepts
- Experience partnering with testing, BAU, and training functions
- Executive presence with C-suite / Board-level stakeholders
Minimum Salary:
zł426,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
