Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of performance excellence and continuous development.
- Design and execute field medical strategies aligned with broader Medical Affairs objectives, ensuring effective territory planning and scientific engagement activities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and healthcare organizations to support scientific exchange and gather actionable field insights.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and effectiveness models to optimize field medical operations and demonstrate strategic value.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support publication planning, medical information activities, research initiatives, investigator-sponsored studies, and real-world evidence generation.
- Oversee the development of field medical resources, congress plans, onboarding programs, and ongoing training initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Serve as a strategic advisor internally, communicating medical insights and contributing to business planning, educational initiatives, and long-term organizational objectives.
- Advanced scientific or medical degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, DNP, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of field medical experience, including at least 2 years leading and managing field-based medical teams.
- Proven success in developing high-performing teams and delivering both qualitative and quantitative objectives within Medical Affairs environments.
- Strong expertise in proactive and reactive scientific engagement strategies with KOLs, HCPs, and other external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects and collaborating across diverse teams and functions.
- Deep understanding of Medical Affairs compliance requirements, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into relevant clinical insights.
- Experience supporting product launches within biotechnology or pharmaceutical environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and travel up to approximately 50%.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $220,000 to $250,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
