Description
Assembly Technician (Levels II–V)Location: Wolcott, INReports to: Plant ManagerWe are seeking Assembly Technicians across multiple levels (II–V) to support the manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and testing of our products. This progression role offers growth from entry-level assembly to advanced fabrication and full product ownership.Benefits & PerksMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchCompetitive PTO accrual, plus floating holiday and paid volunteer timeTuition ReimbursementHiring ProcessSam, our AI recruiter, will contact you by phone or text within 24 hours of applying, giving you an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience for the role.Assembly II (Entry-Level)Focus: Basic assembly operationsPerform routine assembly using written instructions or samplesAssemble small components (screws, clips, springs, etc.)Operate simple machines and perform basic solderingInspect parts, report defects, and maintain work areaTrack production output and meet performance targetsWhat it takes:2–3 months to proficiencyStrong attention to detail and manual dexterityAssembly III (Intermediate)Focus: Advanced assembly & testingPerform complex assembly and calibration tasksInterpret product variations and configurationsConduct leak testing and Hi-Pot testingPackage and label finished goodsUse hand and power tools with greater precisionWhat it takes:3–6 months to proficiencyAbility to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot minor issuesAssembly IV (Advanced)Focus: Fabrication & system-level assemblyRead prints and engineering instructionsAssemble and fill thermal/capillary systemsPerform calibration, leak testing, and adjustmentsWork with welding and handle specialized materialsFollow strict safety protocols for hazardous materialsWhat it takes:9–12 months to proficiencyStrong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills (soldering, brazing)Assembly V (Expert Level)Focus: Full product ownership & complex buildsIndependently manage low-volume, high-variation ordersPerform full fabrication, assembly, calibration, testing, and packagingWork with advanced tools (torches, induction heating, etc.)Handle volatile materials in controlled environmentsEnsure product quality from start to finishWhat it takes:3–5 years to masteryDeep product knowledge and high-level mechanical expertise
