What is the opportunity?
As the Sales Assistant (12-month contract), you will be responsible for assisting FICC sales to onboarding new clients. The primary objective is to support FICC Sales to drive revenue by efficiently onboarding new clients, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring all customer data strictly meets corporate and legal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.
What will you do?
- Client Onboarding & KYC refresh: Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new FICC clients, including initial intake, documentation collection, and account setup. Liaise between sales representatives, operations, and compliance teams to ensure timely progression through each onboarding stage.
- Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Verify that all client information and supporting documentation comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards, know-your-customer (KYC) requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks. Prepare and submit compliance documentation to relevant internal teams for approval. Flag discrepancies or missing information and coordinate resolution with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Sales Support & Communication: Respond to client inquiries related to onboarding timelines and required documentation. Prepare summary reports and status updates for the sales team. Support ad hoc requests from sales representatives to facilitate business development activities.
- Process Improvement & Administration: Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding workflows and reduce processing time. Assist in maintaining standardized procedures and templates. Perform general administrative tasks to support team operations.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Degree or equivalent is required
- The role would typically require 5 years of relevant experience
- This role requires speaking to clients from North Asia, proficiency in Mandarin is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work seamlessly across geographies and cultural contexts
- Attention to details
Nice-to-have
- Prior AML/KYC policy or regulatory compliance experience preferred
