Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer II is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated manufacturing and service delivery systems that support operational performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule attainment, and cost effectiveness within the production environment. This role focuses on driving profitability, operational excellence, quality, responsiveness, and continuous improvement throughout the product and service lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and drive continuous improvements in quality, productivity, efficiency, and operational performance within assigned areas.
  • Conduct time studies and labor analyses to validate process effectiveness and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze PPQT data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established standards.
  • Support facility layouts, workflow design, and customer-specific production area moves or expansions.
  • Assist in developing operational data and labor estimates to support customer quotations and business proposals.
  • Partner with Industrial Engineering Technicians to support training, development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote standardization of processes and best practices in alignment with site, regional, and global organizational objectives.
  • Drive manufacturing excellence through line balancing, workflow optimization, workstation design, material flow improvements, replenishment strategies, and changeover efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste, improve material presentation, minimize defects, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Industrial Engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and security requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and tools, including:
    • Work measurement and labor analysis
    • Process mapping and workflow optimization
    • Facility and workstation design
    • Capacity planning and resource utilization
    • Continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze operational data to drive decision-making.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to support and adapt to organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
