Physical Therapist | Shands Homecare | PRN

Overview

Provision of professional therapy services in compliance with the state Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement, applicable healthcare standards, governmental laws and regulations, and Shands HomeCare policies, procedures, and philosophy of care. The Physical Therapist is responsible to proactively apply professional knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the patient/client and facilitate the achievement of individualized, defined and measurable outcomes. This position reports and is supported by the Manager of Patient Care or a Registered Nurse designee. Reporting to this position may be a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with a Bachelors or Masters Degree.

Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist

Experience 

• Minimum of one year’s experience with one year of demonstrated expertise in area of concentration (i.e., Home Care, Women’s Health, Sports, Neurologic, Wound, Orthopedic, Pediatric). Home Care experience preferred.
