Accountabilities:

    • Support initiatives advancing transmission expansion, grid modernization, and improvements to electricity market structures supporting clean energy integration.
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including data exploration, modeling, and stakeholder interviews to generate actionable insights.
    • Contribute to research efforts by synthesizing findings into reports, briefs, presentations, and thought leadership materials.
    • Participate in problem-solving workshops and cross-functional discussions to develop innovative approaches to complex energy system challenges.
    • Engage with external stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, industry experts, and community groups, to support project execution.
    • Assist in coordinating meetings, workshops, and events, including logistics, agenda development, and communication support.
    • Support participation in conferences and external engagements to share insights and advance program objectives.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in STEM, policy, economics, business, environmental sciences, or related fields (PhD candidates also considered).
      • Strong interest in energy systems, electricity transmission, and the clean energy transition, demonstrated through academic, professional, or extracurricular experience.
      • Ability to analyze technical and complex information, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to problem-solving.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into clear, compelling outputs.
      • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
      • Willingness to engage deeply with technical content and collaborate across disciplines and stakeholder groups.
      • Additional exposure to energy policy, grid modeling, infrastructure, or regulatory environments is a plus but not required.
