We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.We’re seeking a Service Engineer II to build and run reliable, scalable, and secure cloud services.In this role, you’ll blend software engineering and systems expertise across the full-service deployment lifecycle. You’ll support mission-critical distributed systems and deliver great customer experience through automation, strong observability, and fast incident response.We do not just value differences or different perspectives. As a result, our customers are better served.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the design for the end-to-end service deployment and onboarding lifecycle, focusing on maintaining service reliability, availability, and performance (SLA/SLO).Lead by example within the team by creating extensible and maintainable code and automation. Utilize metrics to enhance the quality and stability of the code, while adhering to suitable coding patterns and best practices.Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed. Consider diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability when reviewing code, and understand when code is ready to be shared or delivered.Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutionsPartner with engineering teams to enable safe and efficient deploymentsImprove system scalability, resilience, and operational efficiencyMonitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive incident resolution & RCABuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automationEmbody our culture and valuesQualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent3-5+ years in SRE / DevOps / Software EngineeringStrong coding/scripting skills (Python, C#, Java, or similar)Strong problem-solving skills and data structure knowledgeJob Requirements: Other & Additional Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
