(Senior) Technician Functional Assays*

Your mission

As (Senior) Technician Functional Assays* at Bio-LogX you will join our research team in our lab in Vienna and help us bring next generation drugs from the bench into the clinic. 
Your main responsibilities will be.
  • Culture and maintain solid tumor cell lines (e.g., breast, pancreatic, lung, and melanoma models).
  • Isolate, expand, and cryopreserve primary immune cells, including PBMCs, T cells, and NK cells.
  • Plan and perform T- and NK-cell-mediated cytotoxicity assays to assess the efficacy of protein-based modalities.
  • Conduct functional characterization studies to elucidate mechanisms of action, including immune activation marker analysis by flow cytometry and cytokine profiling using ELISA and MSD/Luminex platforms.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using tools such as Excel and GraphPad Prism, contributing to internal reports and scientific presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date standard operating procedures, laboratory notebooks, and equipment calibration and maintenance records.
  • Oversee reagent inventory and support general laboratory operations and maintenance.

Your profile

What you have to offer.
  • Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) or diploma in Immunology, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Note: this position is designed for B.Sc./M.Sc. level.
  • Must: 2-3 years of experience handling immune cells (T cells, NK cells, PBMCs). 
  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry, including data analysis using FlowJo.
  • Practical experience with T/NK-mediated cytotoxicity assays and ELISA-based assays.
  • Experience in culturing solid tumour cell lines under appropriate conditions.
  • Strong collaborative mindset and fluency in English.
  • Strong candidates will also offer at least one of the following:
    • Experience with multiplex cytokine assays (MSD/Luminex).
    • Familiarity with statistical/data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism and SPSS.
    • Knowledge of immuno-oncology drug development, including the tumour microenvironment and current therapeutic landscape.
