In this role, you will assess the financial health of a diverse portfolio of investment funds in LATAM, identify emerging risks, and support the Underwriting team with the insights they need to make sound credit decisions. Be part of the first line of defense, where your contributions will have a direct and measurable impact on the quality of Citi's credit portfolio and the strength of its client partnerships.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the creditworthiness of new and existing investment fund clients (e.g., mutual funds, pension funds, asset managers) by evaluating their investment strategy, performance, portfolio composition, Assets Under Management (AUM), and liquidity to deliver clear, data-driven assessments for Underwriting review.Monitor credit risk across new and existing fund relationships, including tracking NAV-based triggers and compliance with terms under ISDA, CSA, and GMRA agreements.. Prepare comprehensive and detailed Credit Approval Memos (CAMs), articulating the credit rationale, key risks, and mitigants for facilities providing exposure to derivatives and securities financing transactions.Identify early warning signals of potential client risk and escalate findings in a timely and structured manner.Conduct periodic financial reviews to ensure exposures remain aligned with agreed terms and credit appetite.Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to understand the potential impact of market volatility on fund portfolios and Citi's exposure.Ensure all credit activities comply with Citi's policies and regulatory standards, maintaining the integrity required by internal and external audit processes.Required qualifications & skills0-1 year of experience at a financial institution.Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken; CV must be submitted in English.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Data AnalysisData management demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, interpret results, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, or a related field.Skilled in gathering, structuring, and preparing data for analysis, including comparing program outcomes against expected results and developing evaluation criteria.Strong attention to detail when assessing financial information, with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders.Beneficial skills & qualificationsFamiliarity with financial products such as Derivatives, FX Forwards, Repos, Securities Lending, and Bonds Trading, including their legal and operational frameworks.Knowledge of the funds and pension funds industries, including investment strategies and regulatory considerations.Exposure to risk management frameworks and regulatory environments within financial services.Familiarity with trading documentation such as ISDA, CSA, and GMRA.Experience with credit exposure metrics like Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Net Stressed Exposure (NSE), and Value-at-Risk (VaR).What we offerAt Citi, we invest in our people as much as we invest in our clients.
