In this role, you will contribute to the flow of work that helps manufacturing teams meet demand, protect service levels, and keep production moving.

Role Overview

The Production Readiness Planner is responsible for supporting production planning activities, material coordination, and schedule readiness in a manufacturing environment. You will help align demand, inventory, and capacity so that production can start on time, first runs are prepared, and delivery commitments are supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule assigned production lines to meet demand and service level targets.
  • Coordinate production readiness activities with material planners, coordinators, operations, and warehouse teams.
  • Track customer orders, overdue items, work orders, and delivery dates.
  • Monitor material shortages and support stock transfer orders for sub-assemblies and related components.
  • Support finished goods planning and deployment across the plant network.
  • Maintain planning data, work order status, and related records to support execution.
  • Assist with first production runs, ramp-up activities, and readiness follow-up.
  • Communicate issues clearly and help drive timely resolution with the right stakeholders.

How You Will Do It

  • Plan ahead for material readiness, line capacity, and customer demand so production can start and recover without avoidable delays.
  • Keep planners, procurement, operations, and warehouse partners aligned through clear communication, follow-up, and timely escalation.
  • Use MRP, Excel, and plant data to monitor shortages, overdue orders, work orders, and delivery dates.
  • Document decisions and action items carefully to support stable schedules and consistent execution.
  • Look for practical ways to improve planning accuracy and inventory control through continuous problem-solving and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in production planning, supply planning, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and planning parameters.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze schedules, inventory, and order status.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA planning, purchasing, or capacity modules.
  • Exposure to Power BI.
  • Experience with Lean Supply Chain or Kanban.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, ramp-ups, or engineering change implementation.
  • Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing or the electronics industry.
