What You Will Do: 

We are seeking a CRM Developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience to help build, enhance, and support our internal Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution. This role is intended for a developer who can work independently on well-defined tasks while receiving guidance, coaching, and technical direction from architects and lead developers. The ideal candidate has solid development fundamentals, practical experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the Power Platform, and the ability to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions. This is an internal-facing role focused on high-quality delivery, collaboration, continuous learning, and steady growth in Microsoft cloud technologies. 

 

  • Develop, configure, and maintain Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions, including Sales and Marketing / Customer Insights capabilities, with guidance from lead developers as needed. 

  • Build and enhance Power Platform solutions using established patterns and team standards, including: 

  • Model-Driven Apps 

  • Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls 

  • Power Automate cloud and desktop flows 

  • Support backend development and integrations using: 

  • C# (.NET) plugins, custom workflow activities, and Azure Functions 

  • Azure Logic Apps for orchestration and enterprise integration patterns 

  • REST/SOAP APIs and external system integrations 

  • Implement and support secure Azure and external integrations, including authentication, data transformation, and monitoring, with escalation support for complex issues. 

  • Contribute to solution designs covering Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and external systems under the guidance of architects or lead technical team members. 

  • Support deployment processes for Dynamics CRM solutions using Azure DevOps pipelines, including environment promotion, release support, and CI/CD practices defined by the team. 

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, and integration details to support ongoing maintainability. 

  • Assist with impact analysis and effort estimation for new features, enhancements, defects, and production support requests. 

  • Participate in full lifecycle implementations including requirements analysis, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. 

  • Identify technical considerations and document impacts related to security, performance, scalability, and maintainability, escalating risks or open questions when appropriate. 

  • Follow SaaS / PaaS best practices, Microsoft reference patterns, and team development standards. 

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve batch jobs, integrations, plugins, and async operations within Dynamics 365 environments, escalating complex issues to senior developers. 

  • Collaborate with architects, senior developers, IT, and internal stakeholders to deliver functionality using an agile methodology. 

  • Participate in peer reviews, follow SDLC standards, and apply feedback from technical leads and architects to improve solution quality. 

  • Prepare and deliver technical walkthroughs or solution overviews to technical stakeholders as needed, with support from lead developers for complex topics. 

  • Stay current with technology advances, Microsoft platform updates, and industry best practices to support modern and relevant solutions. 

 

What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or US equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field 

  • Four+ years of experience in development with minimum TWO (2) years of hands-on experience developing, configuring, or supporting solutions with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, preferably including Sales and Marketing / Customer Insights. 

  • Dynamics 365 CRM (Sales and Marketing/Customer Insights) 

  • Power Apps (Model-Driven) 

  • Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, integrations) 

  • PCF Controls 

  • Power FX 

  • Dataverse data modeling, security roles, business rules, and solution packaging 

  • Working knowledge of Dataverse security concepts, including security roles, teams, business units, field security, and sharing models. 

  • Familiarity with responsive UX design and Microsoft Fluent UI standards. 

  • Experience with or exposure to client-side customizations including: 

  • JavaScript and TypeScript for Dynamics client-side customization 

  • Working knowledge of relational databases and common integration patterns. 

  • Experience with or exposure to backend, data, and integration capabilities such as: 

  • C# (.NET / .NET Core) development for plugins, custom workflow activities, and Azure services 

  • Azure Function Apps and Azure Logic Apps 

  • REST APIs, web services, and external system integrations 

  • SQL, FetchXML, querying, and basic performance considerations 

  • Integration monitoring, error handling, and retry concepts 

  • Experience participating in code reviews, applying feedback, and collaborating with senior developers to improve code quality and maintainability. 

  • Experience supporting Dynamics 365 implementations or enhancements using managed solutions. 

  • Experience working within SDLC methodologies, including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment. 

  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and senior developers. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to work in a hybrid delivery environment while managing assigned work independently and escalating blockers appropriately. 

 

What Would Be Nice to Have: 

  • Exposure to Microsoft-provided or custom agents in support of Dynamics 365 applications is helpful. 

  • Exposure to integration and transformation tools such as Power Platform Dataflows or Azure Data Factory. 

  • Exposure to Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions. 

  • Familiarity with Power BI reporting and Power Query transformations.  

  • Experience working with Git or another version control system. 

  • Experience with custom Power Platform solutions outside of Dynamics 365.  

  • Experience with HTML / CSS for custom UI components and portal extensions 

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps boards, work items, sprint planning, and task tracking. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while taking ownership of assigned deliverables. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels. 

  • Desire to learn, grow, seek feedback, and take on increased responsibility over time. 

  • Ability to self-direct, prioritize assigned work, manage multiple tasks, and proactively communicate progress or blockers.
