Senior Analyst, IT Risk Analytics & Reporting (Global Security)
Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As the Senior Analyst, IT Risk Analytics & Reporting, you work with data enhancement, and governance of enterprise technology risk metrics. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, technology partners—transforming complex business requirements into meaningful risk metrics, actionable insights, and scalable reporting solutions.
This is not a documentation role. The ideal candidate explores data, challenges assumptions, and navigates ambiguity to uncover root causes and deliver practical solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of risk management, data analytics, reporting, and business strategy while influencing stakeholders.
What will you do?
Risk Metrics & Reporting- Support the development, enhancement, and governance of enterprise technology risk metrics, KPIs, and KRIs
Data Modeling & SQL- Design and validate data models to support risk metrics and reporting objectives. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate large datasets
Perform data exploration to understand data structures, relationships, and anomalies, identify and reconcile data discrepancies across multiple systems
Troubleshoot data quality issues and document findings for resolution
Risk Metrics & Governance- Analyze metric methodologies, business rules, and reporting requirements, assess metric changes, impacts, and reporting implications
Manage metric lifecycle (intake, development, documentation, enhancement, retirement) in partnership with data owners
Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications and development-ready requirements
Define business rules, calculation logic, data requirements, and expected outputs
Investigate data, reporting, and metric issues through structured SQL analysis
Validate data accuracy against business requirements
Identify root causes of discrepancies and develop practical solutions
Build relationships across business, technology, data, and risk teams
Clarify requirements, assumptions, and expected outcomes with stakeholders
Present data-driven findings and recommendations in clear business language
Create Confluence-based visualizations and leadership reporting assets
Enhance and maintain reporting infrastructure
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
3+ years working with SQL, data modeling, or data analytics
3+ years translating business requirements into technical solutions
Proficiency querying relational databases and understanding database architecture- Mongo DB experience is preferred
Experience troubleshooting data quality issues and reconciling data across systems
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations
Advanced SQL: query optimization, data extraction, transformation, and validation
Data modeling: conceptual and logical design; understanding of relational/ non relational schemas
Strong Analytical reasoning and problem-solving mindset
Strong communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience in risk management or governance
Python or basic automation scripting
Experience with Machine Learning/AI
Data visualization tool experience (Tableau)
