Accountabilities:

    As a ServiceNow Software Engineer, you will design, configure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations that support enterprise IT service management and digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and effective solutions.

    • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Customer Service Management.
    • Develop custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, and related platform capabilities.
    • Create and maintain business rules, client and server scripts, UI policies, UI actions, access controls, notifications, and catalog items.
    • Build and manage integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and external APIs.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with operational needs.
    • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
    • Perform unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and support user acceptance testing activities.
    • Troubleshoot production issues, implement corrective actions, and support platform reliability.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
    • Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and release management activities.
    • Apply secure coding practices and ensure solutions meet cybersecurity, governance, and accessibility requirements.
    • Collaborate with security teams to support compliance initiatives, including security assessments and authorization activities.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a skilled software engineer with hands-on ServiceNow development experience and a strong understanding of secure enterprise application development. You should have experience working in Agile environments and the ability to deliver reliable solutions in highly regulated environments.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • 3–7 years of professional software development experience.
      • 2–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
      • Strong programming experience with languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, or C++.
      • Experience developing with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++, and Python.
      • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Service Catalog development.
      • Experience building REST APIs and web applications.
      • Familiarity with Git and modern software version control practices.
      • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
      • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
      • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
      • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development principles.
      • Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies, and automation tools is a plus.
      • Familiarity with identity management solutions such as Active Directory, LDAP, OAuth, or SAML is preferred.
      • Ability to obtain and maintain required security access authorizations.
