Description
Quantum-Art, a full stack quantum computing company, develops state of the art quantum computing systems based on trapped ions technology (both hardware and software). As part of our mission our System group builds, characterizes and operates our quantum processing units (QPUs), develops novel quantum gates and circuits, and implements new algorithms capable of solving hard computational tasks, beyond current classical computational abilities.ResponsibilitiesDesign, construct, operate, test, and validate quantum computing systems based on ultracold trapped-ion technology.Work in an experimental lab, collect data, analyse it and derive conclusions on the characteristics, stability and robustness of the system, constantly improving its performance.Collaborate with other hardware, theory, and software groups – scientists and engineers -- jointly leading the effort toward high performance & scalable quantum computers.Develop new schemes, architectures, high fidelity gates, circuits, and use-cases for ion trap-based quantum computation.Maximize QPU performances, define and measure the overall noise budget.Obtain efficient ways to reduce, control and mitigate leading noise sources.Validate and characterize the performance of QPU’s in execution of quantum algorithms and circuits.
