Accountabilities:
- Manage supplemental insurance claim intake, review, processing, and communication across digital and paper channels.
- Analyze claim documentation, verify eligibility requirements, interpret policy provisions, and make accurate benefit determinations.
- Complete end-to-end payment activities, including payment authorization, distribution, and resolution of payment-related issues.
- Apply effective claim management practices to support appropriate financial outcomes and operational accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, share customer insights, and collaborate with teammates to enhance workflows.
- Support a customer-focused claims experience by responding professionally and resolving inquiries efficiently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in supplemental claims processing.
- Previous experience with medical billing or CPT coding.
- Ability to analyze complex information, interpret policy details, and make well-informed claim decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience collaborating with employers, brokers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices or customer experience-focused processes.
- Strong adaptability, initiative, resilience, and ability to manage changing priorities.
- A proactive mindset focused on improving processes and achieving quality outcomes.
- Salary range of approximately $21.63–$29.45 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, market data, and internal factors.
