Accountabilities:
- Serve as a shared technical resource across product teams, providing expertise in data integration, data modeling, analytics, and cloud infrastructure design.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS technologies such as AWS Glue, Amazon Kinesis, and related services.
- Build and manage cloud-native data storage solutions utilizing Amazon S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, and other AWS-managed databases.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK to support scalable and repeatable deployments.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate application builds, testing, code quality checks, and deployment processes.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure resources to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across products and environments.
- Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and observability solutions to provide real-time visibility and facilitate troubleshooting.
- Optimize ETL workflows and data processing frameworks to efficiently manage large and diverse datasets.
- Establish and maintain secure AWS environments through IAM policies, role management, and adherence to security best practices.
- Create technical documentation and deliver knowledge-sharing initiatives to support user adoption and operational excellence.
- Evaluate emerging AWS technologies and recommend improvements to continuously enhance the organization's cloud and data ecosystem.
- Ensure all solutions comply with security standards and industry best practices, including OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25, and CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data projects and cloud-based data architectures.
- Strong expertise with AWS services including AWS Glue, Kinesis, S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, and related cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, DevOps methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience developing and optimizing ETL processes and managing data integration across multiple systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience implementing secure architectures and governance frameworks.
