The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Chat Development Representative to join our Chat Development team. In this role, you will work alongside a team of chat agents to drive opportunities for the sales team and self-serve revenue through the website and build a fun, high-energy environment both on the sales team and across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Within your first 30 days, you’ll be expected to learn our team’s tech stack and gain an in-depth understanding of Superhuman's plans, features, and narratives, as well as take first chats (a few hours per day starting in Week 2).

  • Within your first 60 days, you’ll be expected to take chats independently and answer leads’ pre-sale questions when they visit the Grammarly and Superhuman websites.

  • By month six, you will be able to independently run tests within chat and give meaningful feedback on our product, systems, and processes.

  • By month nine, you will be expected to consistently exceed your quota. There may be opportunities to grow into a senior position as the team continues to expand.

Qualifications

  • Has previous 1+ years of support, chat, or sales experience and understands the importance of providing correct answers to prospects' questions in a timely manner.

  • Can think fast and make decisions quickly in the live chat, talking to customers.

  • Is responsible and understands that they are prospects’ first interaction with Grammarly.

  • Is innovative and can think outside the box, and can be creative with new ideas on how to improve chat’s reach and effectiveness.

  • Is analytical and can quickly identify patterns and trends.

  • Takes initiative. Is proactive when a problem is identified and takes swift action to resolve it.

  • Is emotionally intelligent and can gauge and manage their own emotions and those of others.

  • Has experience working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving.

  • Is a quick learner – processes and systems are constantly changing, so the Chat Development Representative must be able to learn on their feet and adapt.

  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
