Accountabilities:
- Manage daily CDM operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of requests, updates, and system-related edits.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term departmental strategies, goals, and improvement plans.
- Ensure compliant charge capture practices, reduce billing errors, and support initiatives to minimize claim denials.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and revenue cycle teams to improve charge accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and resolve CDM-related issues across healthcare information systems.
- Support timely filing of claims and contribute to improved financial performance.
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing discharged-not-final-billed (DNFB) challenges and improving workflow effectiveness.
- Empower team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
- Establish performance expectations, coach employees, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance assessments and maintain improvements through structured processes and reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational standards and service objectives.
- Proven experience managing chargemaster (CDM) activities within a hospital, health system, or healthcare revenue cycle environment.
- Strong understanding of charge capture processes, billing compliance, revenue cycle operations, and claim management.
- Experience leading teams, developing employees, and driving departmental performance improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, identify operational gaps, and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems and CDM-related edits.
