Accountabilities:
- Analyze client requirements, business needs, and data to identify effective solutions and improvements.
- Gather, validate, document, and translate business and system requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Act as a bridge between clients, service providers, and development teams to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives.
- Support the design, modification, and implementation of business processes that improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.
- Manage client relationships by providing ongoing support, communication, status updates, and issue resolution throughout projects.
- Participate in client meetings, requirements gathering sessions, implementation projects, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Provide client training and guidance to support successful adoption of solutions.
- Analyze pension plan requirements, system modifications, enhancements, and defect corrections while proposing practical solutions.
- Prepare documentation including specifications, release notes, delivery materials, and project-related updates.
- Configure client and plan rules within applicable systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and execute quality assurance activities, including test plans, defect tracking, system validation, and compliance checks.
- Support process improvements, accurate reporting, and timely tracking of project and client-related activities.
- 5-7 years of experience in Canadian pension or benefits administration, including Defined Benefit and/or Defined Contribution pension plans.
- 5-7 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or related technology-focused roles.
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of pension plan administration, retirement programs, or related industry practices.
- Business Analyst certification or relevant pension-related designation such as PPAC or CEBS is considered an asset.
- Experience working with software systems, application development teams, and technology implementations.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a changing environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while demonstrating leadership, initiative, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Willingness to travel as required.
