Force Protection and Terrorism Threat Analyst Senior
HOW A THREAT ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
This effort provides Analytical Support Services to the U.S. Army Counterintelligence (CI), Counterterrorism (CT), and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) enterprise, supporting the United States Army Counterintelligence Command (USACIC), its subordinate commands, and associated activities. The Force Protection and Terrorism Threat Analyst Senior supports regional and functional intelligence requirements, evaluates terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, and develops analytic products that inform senior leaders, operational units, and investigative elements. The analyst will be assigned to regional desks supporting global Combatant Commands and will contribute to Army analytic product lines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research and all‑source analysis to produce finished intelligence, threat assessments, and timely responses to RFIs on foreign terrorist threats and force protection concerns impacting the U.S. Army and DoW globally
- Analyze intelligence from OSINT, HUMINT, SIGINT, and IMINT to identify current and emerging threats, assess their immediacy, and forecast their likely evolution
- Develop well‑reasoned analytic conclusions and identify investigative leads and operational opportunities for potential CI exploitation
- Identify gaps related to threat streams; develop source-directed requirements, information report evaluations, and prioritized collection requirements
- Provide all‑source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, CI/HUMINT elements, and broader defense intelligence needs
- Assess foreign intelligence efforts targeting U.S. persons, operations, sensitive information, and activities, including threats enabled by emerging technologies
- Apply understanding of FIE capabilities, foreign partner CI practices, and U.S. CI/CT TTPs to produce in‑depth analytic studies and support CI strategy development
- Develop, conduct, and present programs of instruction related to collection operations and supporting processes for HUMINT and technical intelligence activities under DoW authorities
- Communicate analytic findings through written assessments, analytic notes, formal briefings with graphics, written inputs to intelligence products, and verbal briefings to working groups, senior leaders, and mission partners
- Maintain collaborative engagement with intelligence community counterparts to ensure comprehensive awareness of global threats to the Army and DoW
- Support established regional desks covering EUCOM, INDOPACOM, AFRICOM, CENTCOM, and the Americas (SOUTHCOM/NORTHCOM) in partnership with Government analysts
- Conduct research, analysis, and production for key FPTAB product lines
- Prepare and deliver briefings and provide analytic input to the Army Annual Threat Assessment for assigned AORs
- Respond to RFIs in coordination with production teams and consumers
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education/Experience: Masters with 12 yrs experience; Bachelors with 14 yrs experience; Associates with 16 yrs experience; H.S. diploma with 20 yrs experience
- Graduate of an in‑residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military Service equivalent
- Experience conducting all‑source intelligence analysis in support of force protection, terrorism threat analysis, CI/CT operations, or defense intelligence
- Ability to analyze multi‑INT reporting and produce comprehensive, well‑supported analytic conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including creating formal intelligence products and delivering briefings
- Experience identifying intelligence gaps and generating collection requirements
- Familiarity with IC and DoW intel systems, databases, and analytic processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience supporting regional desks or CCMD AOR analytic missions
- Experience supporting CI or analytic elements in the Army or DoW
- Understanding of foreign intelligence threats, terrorist networks, emerging technologies, and global security environments
- Experience producing recurring intelligence publications or contributing to structured analytic product lines
