Job Description:

The Manager, Sustainability Transformation will help advance transformation across the Enterprise Sustainability team by accelerating AI adoption, strengthening sustainability capability, and building scalable education and knowledge-sharing practices. A key part of the role will be leading AI enablement: embedding AI into core workflows, identifying high-value opportunities, building adoption and accountability mechanisms, and demonstrating measurable impact. The role will also support targeted sustainability education for colleagues, senior leaders, and priority stakeholders, helping them understand and apply sustainability considerations, emerging risks and opportunities, and relevant regulatory or market developments. This role serves as a catalyst for practical change, continuous learning, and capability building.

Key Responsibilities

Drive AI adoption and culture

  • Embed AI into core workflows across the Enterprise Sustainability team to improve productivity, consistency, and capacity.

  • Champion an AI-first mindset and position AI as a core team capability.

  • Establish mechanisms for accountability and adoption.

  • Create and sustain a culture of experimentation, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Build team capability and scale knowledge

  • Design and deliver structured AI learning programs.

  • Formalize an AI experimentation program, including targeted pilots and sprint-based testing.

  • Bring external best practices and emerging insights into the team to accelerate capability building.

Identify, prioritize, and advocate for high-value transformation opportunities

  • Source, assess, and prioritize AI-enabled and transformation opportunities aligned to team priorities and strategic objectives.

  • Develop business cases for investment.

Strengthen sustainability capability through targeted education

  • Develop a sustainability education program to help drive strategy forward.

  • Support organizational awareness of emerging sustainability risks and opportunities through targeted briefings and expert-led discussions.

Define and communicate transformation value

  • Establish and maintain KPIs that demonstrate the impact of AI adoption across the team.

  • Measure and communicate outcomes, including efficiency gains, capacity unlocked, and business value enabled.

Stay externally informed

  • Monitor emerging AI and sustainability trends and translate them into practical opportunities.

  • Identify leading practices that can accelerate AI adoption and business value realization.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, strategy, transformation, innovation, data, learning, or a related field.

  • Experience identifying, assessing, and advancing AI-enablement opportunities.

  • Experience designing or delivering education, training, or capability-building initiatives for varied audiences.

  • Experience leading change, adoption, and learning initiatives.

  • Experience creating business cases, measuring impact, defining outcomes, or communicating value creation.

AI and transformation expertise

  • Strong understanding of AI, including GenAI, analytics, and practical business applications.

  • Experience applying AI tools, such as Copilot, to improve productivity, decision-making, or ways of working.

  • Familiarity with AI experimentation, adoption, and change management best practices.

  • Ability to translate emerging tools, trends, and stakeholder needs into practical pilots, recommendations, and implementation plans.

Sustainability education and capability building

  • Ability to translate complex sustainability topics into clear, relevant, and practical learning experiences.

  • Strong understanding of sustainability issues, including emerging risks, opportunities, regulatory developments, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Ability to design education roadmaps and evolve learning content based on feedback, emerging developments, and business priorities.
