Accountabilities:
- Lead onsite deployment, installation, commissioning, and optimization of robotic systems and automated equipment.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Coordinate installation activities with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Calibrate, test, validate, and document system performance to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret complex mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings to support installation and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of Technician I and Technician II team members when required.
- Deliver technical feedback and recommendations to engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards, field procedures, and operational best practices.
- Travel extensively across the United States and potentially Canada or Mexico to support project deployments.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training in mechatronics, robotics, automation, electrical systems, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with robotics, industrial automation, or complex equipment installation.
- Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical system integration.
- Knowledge of industrial networking fundamentals, BMS, FLS, and related automation systems.
- Experience leading small technical teams or coordinating subcontractors in field environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret, update, and work from technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities in fast-paced project environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time for project assignments.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Preferred certifications include OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and related safety credentials.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Experience in high-volume fulfillment, robotics, or advanced automation environments is preferred.
- Competitive compensation range of $45–$50 per hour, based on experience, education, and qualifications.
