Who is Flock?

Every community deserves to be safe, it’s a fundamental right. Our mission is simple - to build technology that reduces crime and protects privacy. Flock partners with cities, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods to help protect where people live, work, and play. Last year, Flock technology supported over 1 million criminal investigations. We've also helped solve approximately 20% of reported crimes in areas where we're deployed, and have played a role in locating more than 10,000 missing people.

We are a high-performance team united by urgency, ownership, and a shared commitment to meaningful impact. The work is fast-paced and the expectations are high. We push beyond perceived limits, support each other, and hold ourselves accountable to delivering results that matter.

With over $1B in funding and an $8.3B valuation, we are scaling with intention and investing in the people who will help us build what others said could not be done. At Flock, you will find the opportunity to grow quickly, take on real responsibility, and contribute to something bigger than yourself.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Aviation Hardware to help define and grow Flock's aviation product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, embedded software, cloud software, operations, and a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Test Pilots, Operations, Legal, GTM, and leadership to translate customer needs, technical constraints, and market opportunities into a clear product roadmap and successful execution.

You'll play a key role in hardening and scaling Flock's American-made autonomous drone platform during a period of significant market and regulatory change. Success in this role requires developing deep customer and market expertise, driving technical product initiatives with engineering, balancing customer value with regulatory and technical constraints, and building strong cross-functional partnerships to turn complex aviation challenges into clear product priorities.

In this role you will:

  • Own the product roadmap and prioritize hardware and aviation product investments.

  • Partner closely with engineering to drive end-to-end product development across hardware, embedded software, connectivity, and cloud systems.

  • Translate customer feedback, market trends, and evolving FAA/FCC regulations into product strategy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Test Pilots, Operations, Legal, Customer Success, and GTM teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Build technical fluency in the platform architecture to make informed product decisions and effectively communicate priorities across stakeholders.

Skillset

  • Proven product management experience in complex, technical environments where hardware, software, and operational systems intersect

  • Strong ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces and convert incomplete information into clear strategy

  • Demonstrated success partnering deeply with engineering teams on technical tradeoffs, execution, and roadmap planning

  • Ability to learn and navigate domain-specific regulatory constraints and use them effectively in shaping product direction

  • Strong customer instinct and market judgment, with the ability to connect user needs to product strategy and execution

  • Comfort working across a wide range of stakeholders, including engineering, design, operations, legal, compliance, GTM, and leadership

  • Interest in or experience with aviation, autonomous systems, robotics, drones, or similarly regulated product spaces is preferred but not required

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay — research shows candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.

90 Days at Flock

We believe great days lead to great weeks, great months, and ultimately meaningful progress. Here’s a preview of the impact you’ll start making in your first 90 days.

First 30 Days

  • Build a deep understanding of Flock’s aviation product, including the operator experience, core workflows, hardware evolution, and underlying data flows

  • Develop working relationships with engineering, design, operations, legal, and customer-facing teams, and begin building a strong mental map of the broader aviation organization

  • Ramp on aviation-specific terminology, legal context, and competitive dynamics so you can actively follow and contribute to day-to-day product conversations

60 Days

  • Begin running technical projects within your team and participate actively in sprint planning, prioritization, scoping, and tradeoff discussions

  • Deepen understanding of adjacent business functions, including sales, training, customer success, operations, and compliance, to connect product work to full customer outcomes

  • Build enough technical and organizational context to contribute meaningfully across the core conversations and decisions shaping the roadmap

90 Days

  • Take ownership of roadmap direction for your area, with clear priorities tied to customer needs, regulatory realities, and the longer-term aviation product vision

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that extend beyond a single engineering team and require coordination across software, device, operations, connectivity, customer teams, and other PMs

  • Demonstrate the ability to independently lead product conversations, drive alignment, and shape the next phase of product development for Flock Aviation
