Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of end-to-end payroll operations for the Netherlands. This role serves as a key liaison between employees, HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors, ensuring payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and an excellent employee experience. The position requires strong knowledge of payroll processes, data validation, payroll controls, and Dutch payroll legislation.

This is a hybrid role (3 days from the office + 2 days from home).

  • Execute monthly payroll activities for the Netherlands in accordance with established payroll calendars and service-level agreements, collect, review, validate, and process payroll inputs including salary changes, bonuses, allowances, overtime, leave, terminations, and one-time payments.
  • Review payroll inputs from Payroll systems,  and other approved sources, conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and exception reporting.
  • Manage payroll-related inquiries and cases through designated ticketing systems, provide timely and professional support regarding payslips, deductions, taxes, pension contributions, and payroll corrections.
  • Ensure payroll processing complies with Dutch tax, social security, pension, and employment legislation, support statutory reporting requirements and year-end activities.
  • Work closely with payroll service providers to ensure service delivery, accuracy, and compliance, track payroll incidents, service issues, and corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience, support payroll transformation, automation, and process standardization initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of payroll administration experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Experience processing payroll for the Netherlands.
  • Understanding of Dutch payroll legislation, taxation, social insurance, and pension administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
